In the Year Seven Digital Technologies class, we are learning to code using Scratch online coding. www.scratch.mit.edu
We have learned how to design our own avatars using the editing tools in the most efficient and effective way. We used Adobe Photo Shop to add effects to photos. We used these skills to create an original backdrop for a fantasy forest avatar. We learned how to animate our avatar by designing multiple costumes and coding them to run together. I love how these skills allow our imaginations to create such a range of characters and come into a form where other people can enjoy them!

The three Dimensional Spinning Challenge
Students were given an open challenge of making a ball appear as though it is three dimensional and spinning. They were only allowed to use 4 blocks of coding to complete the challenge. The students approached the problem in various ways and learned different techniques from the each other.
